Samsung Upstage: The Beyonce Phone

If you ever refer to this phone as the Samsung Upstage to someone, there’s a good chance they won’t know what you’re talking about. If you refer to it as the Samsung M620 or F300, there’s a very good chance they won’t know what you’re talking about. Samsung two-faced phone? You might get a better response. But if you really want them to know what the heck you’re referring to, just call it the Beyonce phone.

Beyonce Knowles, the singer/actress/fashion designer, was chosen by Samsung to be the spokesmodel for this particular phone. She did better than just become the spokesmodel for the phone, Beyonce Knowles became the phone. And for those of you who think that I’m exaggerating, let it be known that Samsung came out with the B’Phone. “B” standing for Beyonce, of course.

The B’Phone, exclusively for Sprint, is a limited edition version of the UpStage model. The phone is burgundy in color with gold trimmings for some added ‘bling’; apparently designed by Beyonce Knowles herself. The B’Phone also comes with a Beyonce-themed startup screen as well as the ability to download Beyonce photos and songs exclusive to the owners of this special edition phone. To top it off, one of the songs is a song which Beyonce recorded when she was only 10 years old; the song title is ‘632-5792’. How fitting that the special song for this phone happens to be a phone number.

Are there still more doubters out there that the Samsung UpStage is truly the Beyonce phone. I mean, c’mon, she recorded a song for it when she was 10 years old. It was simply meant to be.
